Junior Jumpers For 4-Year-Olds
Keep First Things First When Raising Kids:
Child Development experts know; for preschoolers, acquiring a healthy learning attitude is far more important than the mastery of specific skills. The All Star early childhood Gymnastics curriculum, “Healthy Foundations”, is carefully designed for exactly what children need most during these formative years. In our Healthy Foundations Classes, gymnastics skill challenges are used as tools to build positive learning attitudes while skill mastery is a secondary goal. At All Star we keep first things first…The Kids!
FUN is far more than meets the eye!
One of the biggest objectives of our Healthy Foundations gym classes is FUN! Of course, this is exactly what the kids should be having. Sometimes the importance of fun in a learning setting, especially for preschoolers, is underestimated. Adults often feel that when fun is present, learning is not, but nothing could be farther from the truth. Why is fun so important? All well-adjusted, life-long learners, at some point during their formative years, formed a subconscious association when presented with a learning situation approximating: Challenge = Risk = Learning = FUN & excitement! The value of this association becomes even more apparent when expecting the opposite association that is prevalent in today’s teenagers and young adults: Challenge = risk = failure = fear & anxiety. For a person possessing this negative association, the pain of possible failure is simply not worth the risk.
Which association would you like your child to start out with, in life??? Now that you know a little more about the substance of our Healthy Foundations program, we have a favor to ask. SHHHH!…Don’t tell the kids: They think gymnastics is just pure FUN!
Little Leapers:
(45 minutes)
$83 monthly – This class level is our first “on-their-own” class level for little athletes ages 3-4. It’s a great way to give your child a safe environment in which to develop and challenge their expanding physical abilities while learning how to “be” in a class environment. With slightly shorter class-times of 45 minutes and an introductory level of class structure and developmentally appropriate expectations, Little Leapers will further expand their gymnastics, listening, and learning skills.Junior Jumpers:
(60 minutes)
$90 monthly – This class, for 4-year-olds, is the last level of our Healthy Foundations Program. Junior Jumpers gym class will help your preschooler develop a strong set of “in-class” skills while working on gross & fine motor skills that have far-reaching physical & cognitive benefits. In class, they will learn more complex gymnastics skills and will be introduced to vocabulary & equipment that they will be using when they move up into the Fundamental Gymnastics program that starts with Boys & Girls Level 1 gymnastics. Children in this class will use more complex obstacle courses, be exposed to the different gymnastics apparatus (such as beam, bars, and vault), and more advanced floor skills.
Note: Tuition rates are monthly. Multiclass & family discounts may apply.
